The yearly Kulturmarken-Award is given in 7 categories:
1. European culture brand of the year
2. Culture manager of the year
3. European trend brand of the year
4. City brand of the yeare
5. European culture investor of the year
6. European education programme of the year
7. European culture tourismus region of the year
Partipation is possiby for:
public and private culture institutions;
publishing companies and
agencies that look after culture institutions.
Criteria of the jury:
1. Brand identity: originality instead of adaption
2. Brand positioning: individuell character
3. Creativity and trendness of the brand
4. Market leadership: Strong by regular breaks
